Private & Semi-Private Movement & Mindfulness Sessions with Joanna
Why do a private session?
- Your session will be about you and your goals.
- We'll explore how your unique body moves and discover together how to support it.
- You'll learn whole-body alignment as a helpful framework for participating in any movement class or workshop.
- You'll gain a greater awareness of your body, how it moves, and what it needs.
- You'll get feedback and new ways to adapt exercises, so they work for your body.
- You'll learn how to tune into how you are moving in daily life and see natural opportunities for moving better.
- You're not sure a group class or workshop is for you.
- You're looking for additional support and accountability.
During Your Initial Private Session:
- We'll talk about your health and movement history and your goals for your session(s).
- We'll observe how you move, and you will learn whole-body alignment principles and corrective exercises that will help you to cultivate greater strength, mobility and ease as you move.
- We'll identify ways to sneak helpful movement during your daily routine.
Subsequent Private Sessions
After your initial session, we'll continue to explore how your body moves, and we'll identify corrective exercises and habit changes that will support your movement goals. We'll allow your body to guide us and tell us what it needs. Usually in 3 to 5 sessions, we can develop a movement and lifestyle program.
